Mt. Juliet, TN

Mt. Juliet, TN, is located roughly thirty miles from the center of Nashville. According to census data, the city is a rapidly growing suburb, which has seen a nearly 50 percent increase in population over the last decade.

While the city's growth has been steady since its incorporation as a town in 1972, a sharp spike began around 2005. This sudden increase may be due to significant development, including The Shoppes of Renaissance Square and the recently redeveloped Lebanon Road corridor.

Before the mid-2000s, when growth began, most residents lived in large land lots on the city's outskirts. This is still where many people choose to live today despite this trend toward living in suburban areas.

Mt. Juliet is known for hosting the annual Mt. Juliet Jamboree summer festival, including live music and carnival games. This event is held at Robert Rose Park and has been a staple of the city's attractions since 1984.
